You’ll find in my very first (rambling) post, that the inspiration for this blog was the song, “More to This Life” by Steven Curtis Chapman.

To me, the song is about being stuck in the routine. Life goes on. You dream of making tomorrow better, you work hard for yourself and/or your family, you work hard for your employer and perhaps, as in the song, you go to church faithfully, but when you wake up the next morning, everything’s still the same and you still feel the need to search. Life just goes on. But there’s MORE to this life! There’s more than living and dying and trying to make it through the day. Really, truly there is! But where is it? How do we find it? Where do we find it?

According to the song, we find life’s true beginning at the cross of Christ. In John 10:10, Jesus says that He came that we may have life and have it abundantly.

But still, how do you get that abundant life? How do you quit sitting back as life goes on around you? That’s what I hope to discover. I started this blog because of a desire to see my life become more than living, dying and making it through each day.
